Popeyes-National Launch of beignets

As I sat in my car furiously wiping powdered sugar off my shirt after inhaling a half dozen beignets in the name of research, one insight became clear: beignets are a mess. As the creative gods would have it, paint splatter camo was a popular street style trend at the time of the launch. Thus, the Popeye’s Camo hoodie was born. My team at Gut Agency designed a hoodie that leaned into culture and allowed people to enjoy beignets without fruitlessly fighting powdered sugar.

The camo hoodie sold out.

The hoodie appeared on both Kim Kardashian and Dwyane Wade’s social media.

The $35 hoodie is now available for $150 on eBay as a collectible item.
